Today, a network of 100+ field engineers across 40+ cities. Same obsession: infrastructure done right.
Layer One was founded at the end of 2024 by three engineers who kept running into the same problem: a shortage of genuinely good datacenter engineers. So we became the fix. We named ourselves after layer one of the OSI model, the physical layer. Cables, switches, servers: where everything starts, and where we're at home. Since then we've built a network of 100+ field engineers working across 40+ cities, same standard, far more hands.
